Kodak Hero 9.1 All-In-One 3D Wi-Fi Printer Review
Kodak Hero 9.1 Review

Similar to the Hero 7.1, the Kodak Hero 9.1 with 9600dpi optimised printing adds a fax capability, a 4.3in touch screen LCD colour screen display and a 30 page automatic document feeder.

The 802.11b/g/n wireless network can be set-up in minutes with easy Wi-Fi setup. You will then be able to print remotely from a smartphone, computer, or tablet PC using Google Cloud Printing Applications. You can also send emails and attachments to the printer from anywhere, then store and print later with the Kodak email print service. A similar service lets you print photographs directly from your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android or Blackberry device with the Kodak Pick Flick Application.

The Kodak Hero 9.1 has Smart Sensor technology predicts supplies and time needed to complete a print job, and then automatically identifies the paper size, the amount, and the type so you don't have to set-up the print modes.

Using the LCD screen you can access your favorite pictures on Facebook, print photos, and send scans to your PC.

Like the Kodak Hero 7.1, the Hero 9.1 also uses a pair of Kodak Number 10 pigment cartridges being a black and a five colour cartridge. A set of Kodak cartridges costs around £20. As we mentioned in our 7.1 review, using a combined color cartridge has its limitations if one colour runs out, meaning the entire cartridge requires replacement!

For the price we feel that you can get better performance and features elsewhere, but overall a good printer. Running costs when analysed are not as attractive as advertised compared to other options available on the market today.
