Photosmart 7510 e-All-In-One Wireless Printer Review
The New Photosmart 7510 e-All-In-One printer from HP is now available to purchase in the UK for around £140. Following on from the 5510 and 6510 models, the HP Photosmart 7510 is another printer using HP364 Ink cartridges.
Looking more like a postal franking machine, the HP Photosmart 7510 printer features a 4.3 inch colour touch screen, a flat bed scanner / copier with automatic duplex, fax, 125 sheet paper tray and 25 sheet photo paper tray, WiFi, Memory Stick Duo and Secure Digital (SD) multi-media card readers.
For £140 we would have expected there to be a PictBridge USB port and a second full size paper tray. There is also no Ethernet facility, although by using WiFi you can connect with Airprint to mobile devices like the iPad. Also with HP ePrint function you can print from anywhere in the World using an Internet connection.
Fortunately the 7510 print quality is very good, particularly with photographs. Colours are vibrant and fairly accurate. Print speeds are also healthy and the machine is easy to set-up.
The New HP Photosmart 7510 uses HP364 Black, HP364 Cyan, HP364 Magenta, HP364 Yellow, and HP364 Photo Black Ink cartridges. Heavy users are recommended to purchase XL high yield cartridges with a higher Ink capacity to the versions supplied in the box with the printer.
The HP Photosmart 7510 offers
exceptional print quality, but lacks a few features that we would
have expected at this price. Running costs can be high if using genuine
HP cartridges, and compatible and refillable cartridges come without
chips (you have to transfer chip from oem cartridges), and the Ink
monitor will always read low. For this reason we would not recommend
this printer considering the initial purchase price of the machine.
